Role: UX/UI Designer

Challenge: To create an app to help those who are prone to falling asleep on trains and missing their stop (Me).

The Product: TrainzZz is an alarm app designed to track the train you are on and wake you up at the appropriate time.

First Steps: Find Potential Problems

  • Satellite issues may cause a lack of internet connection going through tunnels

  • No on-train Wi-Fi can lead to connection problems.

  • If on a short trip, people may not need to use this app

  • Home Screen

    • No Login/ Membership

    • Possible expansion to Bus routes

    • Train can be animated

Wireframes

  • Station/Time Select

    • Can select state and station at the top

    • Times and track numbers listed underneath

    • Duration of trip listed as well as how long until the train arrives

  • Alarm

    • Can stop alarm anytime you’d like and will bring you back to the previous screen.

    • Can select different alarm sounds.

    • Train can be animated like a progress bar

  • Wake Up Select

    • Can select as many options as they would like

    • Can customize the alarm time
